Victor Axelrod

Musician, producer and recording engineer from Brooklyn, New York. From the mid-1990s, he has worked primarily in the genres of reggae, Afrobeat and soul, recording and producing under his own name and the alias [[artist:Ticklah]], a nickname given to him early in his career by [[artist:Jeff Baker]] aka [[artist:King Django]]. He became a founding member of [[artist:Antibalas]] and [[artist:Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings]] after meeting musicians [[artist:Martin Perna]] and [[artist:Gabriel Roth]] in the late 1990s. Member of Cooly's Hot Box (1998-2002), Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings (1998-2002) and Antibalas (1999-2012). Runs [[label:Don't Trip Studio]].
