Wenzel was active in the 1980's cassette underground scene and was member of the band [[artist:1614859]], where he met [[artist:263543]]. Both went to Hamburg and became key artists of the "Hamburger Schule". In 1992, he became bassist of [[artist:53419]], where he used the alias . The same year, he also became bassist for [[artist:3327]].

In the 1990's, he was also active as a score composer for German underground movies.
