Funk band
Based in Minneapolis, formed by [[artist:Prince]], utilizing former members of [[artist:The Time]] without founding members [[artist:Morris Day]] and [[artist:Jesse Johnson]], both of whom had started solo careers at that time, and adding [[artist:Susannah Melvoin]], twin sister of [[artist:Prince And The Revolution]] guitarist [[artist:Wendy Melvoin]]. The group released the now-classic "Nothing Compares 2 U" in 1985, which became a smash hit when covered by [[artist:Sinéad O'Connor]] in 1990. Now known as [[artist:fDeluxe]].
