About Syntech
Syntech was a Dutch electronic music project formed by [[artist:92587]] and [[artist:34971]]. The project represented an intersection of visual and auditory art within the "Spacesynth" genre.
Edwin van der Laag, primarily recognized as the graphic artist behind the iconic [[artist:27178]] record covers, transitioned into music production using an Atari ST running Cubase. Seeking to refine his initial tracks, he collaborated with Huib Schippers, an experienced producer known for his work on the [[artist:20500]] project.
Under the guidance of executive producer [[artist:63426]], Syntech released two influential albums through the renowned [[label:6919]] label. Their work is defined by its melodic, futuristic soundscapes that mirrored the sci-fi aesthetics of Van der Laag’s cover art.
