American percussionist and vocalist from Detroit. Father of [[artist:Malik Mausi]]. Started out in jazz and soul, also made house music. He was introduced to [[artist:Ron Trent]] and [[artist:Chez Damier]] in the mid-1990s through his friendship with [[artist:Kai Alcé]].
