Norwegian Electronic musician, producer, songwriter, actor and visual artist, born August 10, 1971 in Odense, Denmark. He is son of [[artist:Jan Groth]] and [[artist:4905664]] and he is older brother of [[artist:Jonas Groth]].

Stephan was raised in Denmark by Norwegian parents. He moved with his family from Denmark to Norway at the age of 16, as his parents were musicians and father Jan joined a Norwegian Rock band.

Born into a music based family, Stephan started to experiment with electronic music at the age of 18. The same year, he co-founded Synthpop and EBM band [[artist:10664]] together with [[artist:229975]], who left the band in the following year. In large periods, the band was a solo project of Groth, featuring short-time members or live musicians. In the 1990's, the band became a successful Alternative Electro band, charting finally in the late 1990's.

In 2002, he started the Electropop side project [[artist:120943]], as he started many others during the years since 1989. Fairlight Children released an album in 2004. Starting in the 2000's, his work included more and more acting and visual arts. Groth lives in the region Fredrikstad with his family.
