American music and advertising producer, born 19 August 1951. Better known as [[artist:11259]], and perhaps most famous for his work with [[artist:8993]] or [[artist:8994]]. As godfather of some of the zanier aspects of turntablism, Steinski created a succession of extra-legal works of studio art (the infamous "Lessons") that quickly became DJ landmarks and some of the most valued bootlegs in rap history. Stein is still active as a radio DJ and compilation curator for innovative music from the past.
