Singers & Players were the first mutation of a loose collective of 15 to 20 vocalists, musicians & DJ's to form the core of [[artist:Adrian Sherwood]]'s On-U Sound label. A colourful bunch of Punks & Rasta's, Rebels, Rockers, Instrumentalists and Experimentalists. All of them could also be members of other groups like Dub Syndicate, Creation Rebel, African Headcharge, Playgroup, New Age Steppers etc.
