British DJ and producer. Born: 4 September 1969 in Bangor, Gwynedd, Wales, UK. A well-renowned DJ and production figure in trance and progressive house circles, Sasha became famous in the late 1980s and early 1990's for residencies at clubs like Shelley's (Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England), [[label:The Hacienda]] (Manchester, England), and most notably [[label:Renaissance]] ("Venue 44" in Mansfield, England; later "The Conservatory", Derby, England). At Renaissance, he formed a now famous longterm DJ partnership with [[artist:John Digweed]] (as [[artist:Sasha & John Digweed]]), one continued for many years, and they produced the first major commercially released studio-produced DJ mix "[m=1477]" (1994) – now largely considered a pioneering release of its time. In the early-to-mid 1990s, he produced several productions of his own and did remixes for [[artist:Urban Soul]], [[artist:M People]], [[artist:Creative Thieves]], and the [[artist:Pet Shop Boys]], amongst others. In 1999, he formed a new partnership in the studio with [[artist:Charlie May]] (one half of [[artist:Spooky]]) and released the "[m=37613]" (1999), and the full-length album "[m=8581]" (2002). In 1997 he founded and ran the now defunct [[label:Excession]] label, later followed in 2007 by [[label:emFire]], a new label for his own recordings. In late 2011 he launched his new digital imprint [[label:Last Night On Earth]].
