Russell "Russ" Smith was briefly a member of [[artist:23520]], playing bass on their [[label:634]] single "[m=702426]" and the [[label:51167]] EP *[m=368835]*; during this time, he was also an "R" in [[artist:12590]], although his contribution was limited to the b-side. He co-founded [[artist:55308]] in 1988, and in 1993, he joined both [[artist:10349]] and [[artist:65697]], and has since recorded extensively with the latter. Using the alias "[[artist:433095]]", Smith oversaw assembly of the compilations *[r=3271723]*, *[m=209418]*, and *[r=1813047]*. Having rejoined Terminal Cheesecake in 2010, he has also recently played in [[artist:5195698]], and records under the names [[artist:7488364]] and [[artist:6200683]].
