About Roberto Rossi [iii]
Drummer, percussionist and composer born 1963 in Castel San Pietro near Bologna, Italy. Rossi studied congas under the Puerto Rican percussionist, **Daniel Barrajanos** and later deepened his percussion studies in Brazil. His percussion set, comprised of drum elements and traditional Afro-Brazilian percussion elements resulted from this intensification.
His encounters with many musical styles including jazz, funk, rock and the blues have enabled him to develop a great sense of versatility and expressiveness with his own personalized instrument.
