One of the UK's top groove drummers, he has worked in a wide array of genres and styles, from [[artist:Tina Turner]], [[artist:Simply Red]], [[artist:Oleta Adams]], [[artist:Joan Armatrading]], [[artist:Keziah Jones]], [[artist:Culture Club]] to reggae artists [[artist:Linton Kwesi Johnson]], [[artist:Horace Andy]], [[artist:Dennis Bovell]], [[artist:I-Roy]], [[artist:Earl Sixteen]] etc. Signed to Virgin with his act [[artist:Well Red]], Richie's work led him to collaborate with [[artist:George Clinton]] and the P-Funk crew. As [[artist:Drumhead]] and now [[artist:Dubversive]], Richie has produced [[artist:Mica Paris]] and remixed tracks for acts including [[artist:Dreadzone]], [[artist:Jamiroquai]] and [[artist:Spacemonkeyz]] vs. [[artist:Gorillaz]] project.
