Iclandic singer Guðmunda Ragnhildur Gísladóttir was born October 7th, 1956 in Reykjavík. She started piano lessons at a young age and, at the age of 17, she started learning to become a music teacher at the music school of Iceland. In 1976, she fronted a band called "lummurnar" and, after that, her career started. She was the founder of the first Icelandic girl rock band, "Grýlurnar", and, when they ended, she joined Iceland's most popular band at that time, "Stuðmenn", in 1984.
