British funk guitarist, vocalist, songwriter and producer

Paul Phillips played guitar for the brit funk group [[artist:54595]]. He produced [[artist:192222]] in 1981 and then had a top 40 hit with a [[artist:54599]] version of [m=301489]. He then went on to work for record labels [[label:906]], [[label:14577]] and [[label:18196]]. He signed up young 16-year-old singer [[artist:5372]] who was the voice on [m=859460] and [m=204608] by the group [[artist:9279]]. He produced the track [m=135926] by [[artist:34746]] for Willpower and Streetwave Productions, although he went uncredited. He also mixed Wills' single [m=135928].

Phillips is a former member of [[artist:139081]]. In 1988, he played guitar on [[artist:42895]]'s [r=1086986], mixed by Tee Morris and Lloyd Phillips. He also remixed [[artist:22854]]' [m=39230]. In India, he has worked as a musical director for a series called City of Dreams.
