German Gothic Rock guitarist from Essen.

In the late 1970's, he started to play music together with his schoolmates [[artist:855245]] and [[artist:313212]]. The both latter had founded a band called "Avadon" in the early 1980's, in 1984 Olböter joined them.

In late 1984, the band reformed and was renamed to [[artist:210011]].

On their way to success in the early 1990's, the band's music turns to more electronic sounds of EBM and Industrial. The band splits in 1995 and reunites in 1999. Olböter, however, leaves the band around 2001. He works today as IT specialist for the European virus database.
