About Nuclear Ramjet

Nuclear Ramjet started in 1997 with three components: Felix, aka "Miracle Flash", pre-Nuclear Ramjet and "Flash", currently a disco and house music producer, trance producer Max, also known as "Aeon", and Nivoc, a DJ giving direction and advice on the music and taking part in composition and production. Nivoc also managed their releases, promotion and distribution. Although they had different musical interests, they had a common desire for sonic exploration and musical innovation.

The group's name was found accidentally by curiosity: Some scientists back in the 60's dreamed up the "Nuclear Ramjet", a concept engine that harnesses properties of nuclear physics. It was conceived as a theoretical form of interstellar propulsion that would use the same power that drives the sun. The group found inspiration in this advanced concept for futuristic trance music. The tracks are composed in their home studio in Montreal.

After the release of their second album, "Music For Spaceports" in 2001, Nivoc split from the group to concentrate on Ascend Music Group.
