Studied Art & Music at University of Tokyo and later Munich.

Participates in Fluxus events, marries [[artist:624581]].

Renowned as one of the pioneers of Video Art and the father of Installation Art.

In 2000 he received the National Arts Club Award & the retrospective "The Worlds of Nam June Paik" opens at the Guggenheim Museum, New York.
