About Mike Schommer
In the late 1990s, Mike Schommer co-founded the Deepchord record label (along with [[artist:Rod Modell]]) in Detroit, Michigan. The label was considered by many to be the second wave of the [[artist:Basic Channel]] dub techno sound. After four years and achieving far more success than initially anticipated, [[label:Deepchord]] Records wound down operations. Five years later, Modell would revive the "[[artist:DeepChord]]" moniker as an artist name, and In 2017 Schommer returned to producing electronic music after a fifteen-year hiatus.
