About Mike Ogletree

Mike Ogletree is a Scottish musician, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist, best known for his work as a drummer with Scottish bands including Simple Minds, Fiction Factory and Café Jacques.

His Discogs profile also includes credits connected with recordings by Spanish artist Miguel Bosé. These credits reflect Ogletree's work not only as a drummer/percussionist but also as a songwriter and lyricist. In particular, Ogletree is credited as a writer on Miguel Bosé's “Como un lobo,” alongside Miguel Bosé, Paolo Costa, Claudio D'Onofrio, Marco Tazzi and Giorgio Vanni. The Blaxcots project should not be regarded as a historical reunion or continuation of Ogletree’s previous bands. It represents a new creative chapter in his ongoing musical career.

Ogletree’s previous credits include recordings and performances with Simple Minds, Fiction Factory and Café Jacques. His current releases include original material by The Blaxcots, including the 2026 single **“The One I Am.”**
