American producer, arranger, conductor, keyboardist and songwriter, born June 3, 1943, in Passaic, New Jersey. Best known to have formed [[artist:29936]], which had disco hits like "Let's All Chant" (1977) and "Life's A Party" (1978) . He often wrote songs with [[artist:130176]], and discovered [[artist:30542]] when she was 14. Indeed, Whitney sang with her mother Cissy on the track "Life's A Party" of the Michael Zager Band.

Zager also produced disco songs for porn actresses [[artist:470373]] and [[artist:48407]].

He formed [[artist:29936]] and has produced and composed over the years, albums and songs for a wide range of artists like [[artist:48407]], [[artist:470373]], [[artist:30542]], [[artist:229372]], [[artist:175255]], [[artist:135244]], [[artist:113679]], [[artist:22757]], [[artist:146284]], [[artist:74392]], [[artist:35022]], [[artist:203398]], [[release:1709632]], [[artist:130176]] and [[artist:82735]].

Zager has composed and/or arranged more than 400 commercials.

Today, he is professor and director of commercial music at the Florida Atlantic University.
