Saxophonist, flautist and percussionist, born on 28th September 1943 in Jamaica.

Rose moved to the UK in 1962 where he initially played with [[artist:Rico Rodriguez]] in [[artist:Rico & His Band]].

He later joined [[artist:Cymande]] until their split in 1975, then South African band [[artist:Jabula]], then [[artist:Aswad]] for 7/8 years.

In more recent years he played with [[artist:Courtney Pine]] and [[artist:Jazz Jamaica]]. He is currently part of [[artist:Jools Holland And His Rhythm & Blues Orchestra]].

He acquired the "Bami" nickname in high school.
