Cellist Mera's first job in music was as keyboardist, and then also cellist, with The Garden of Dreams. She went on to play cello for [[artist:Black Tape For A Blue Girl]]. She created her own solo project, Oblivia in 1988. She has since played with [The Last Dance](http://www.discogs.com/artist/Last+Dance,+The), [[artist:Arcanta]] and [[artist:Cassandra Complex]]. In 2000 she founded the band Mercurine, currently based in Los Angeles.
