Médéric Nébinger has released his first EP on [[label:Rave Age Records]] in 1991 after starting as A&R for a advertising agency (Slad). He creates [[label:Pumpking Records]] in 1992 in Paris (distributed by PIAS) along with [[artist:Eric Chedeville]] (Co-founder of [[label:Crydamoure]]).

In 1995, he goes to New York, where he creates a new label ([[label:Déjà Vous]]) and releases his first album [r=32210] on Twisted America Records in 1998 under his alias [[artist:Funky Derrick]].
