Arfmann grew up in Verden, Germany was a classically trained singer and pianist and started in the Verden Punk scene in the late 1970's. He had an all-male Punk band there, which had contacts to [[artist:83518]]'s as well local all-female Punk band "Monotoner Ablauf".
On their shared rehearsals, they had once the idea to mix up both bands. Thus, in 1981 the Art Punk band [[artist:70668]] became the result.
The band was active from 1981 to 1996 and became Germany's most genre defining Art Punk band. Also Arfmann and Achinger became a couple and had a child together. In 1996, the split of the couple was also the end of the band at the end of that year.
Meanwhile, Arfmann worked as producer already since the early 1990's. He was producer of the early [[artist:23230]] and later became a key person in the Geman, Hamburg based Hip-Hop scene.
He became producer of several acts and also continued as musician, e.g. with his dub project Turtle Bay Country Club.
