**Mainpal Inv.** was an alias used by Danish/Faroese experimental artist Kristian Vester (best known as [[artist:Goodiepal]]) circa 1995–2003. He released the bulk of Mainpal Inv's material through his eponymous [private imprint](https://discogs.com/label/38398), most notably the "Brand Archive" series in 2000-01. This collection of 7" picture discs closely followed Goodiepal's *[Goodiebag](https://discogs.com/search/?type=release&title=Goodiebag+%23)* & *[Demonbag](https://discogs.com/search/?q=Demonbag&type=release)* series on [[label:V/Vm Test Records]]. For his latest project, Mainpal "hacked" assorted audio content produced over the years for commercial clients, from [[label:Nokia]], [[label:Carlsberg]] and [[label:Bang & Olufsen]] to [[label:Chupa Chups]] or [[label:Statoil]] — such as jingles, sound effects and advertisement music — and released cut-up/glitch/dub "remixes" on picture vinyl with corporate logos and slogans; obviously, without any permission or authorization. In response, several companies pressed charges against Vester, including Carlsberg A/S and Nokia; they settled after he agreed to destroy remaining copies. Chupa Chups attempted to sue but couldn't physically locate the artist to serve a subpoena. Instead, the Spanish company targeted a private German website for violation of their trademark, **wolf's kompaktkiste**, which hosted, among thousands of labels and artists, scans of Mainpal Inv records. Curiously, the brand settled after Wolf Kemker, the website's sole owner, simply added the **®** symbol on the page; they didn't even demand the removal of "violating" images.

Mainpal Inv. extensively collaborated with the UK/Italian experimental duo [[artist:Gamers In Exile]] and their London-based label [[label:4350]]. In addition to their [triple-split 7" single](https://www.discogs.com/release/294377) with Japanese [[artist:68145]] (a.k.a. [[artist:413874]], younger brother of [[artist:8086]]'s [[artist:688546]]), Mainpal appeared on the band's debut 2001 *[r=356050]* CD album. Gamers In Exile, in turn, remixed one of [[artist:Goodiepal]]'s popular tracks, "My Robotic Skills Have Failed," featured on multiple albums and compilations. One of the duo members, [Valerio](https://discogs.com/artist/138612), also contributed to the B-side of *[r=353178]* 7" single.

A few other collaborators included [[artist:Toshiyuki Kobayashi]], Kristian's "partner in crime" for *[r=321326]* 7" single, [[artist:436407]] (founder of [[label:22079]] project and webmaster of Mainpal Inv's primary homepage), and [[artist:238387]] from one of the earliest Danish trance projects [[artist:Beyond Reality]]. In 2002, Mainpal participated in [[label:Raster-Noton]]'s '[r=134764]' AV exhibition at [[label:642254]] in Frankfurt, Germany. The same year, he also took part in the *[r=96821]* quirky mail-art compilation on Spanish label [[label:Alku]], matched on an "audio blind date" with [[artist:524]] (a project of German producer [[artist:527136]]), and produced [two remixes](https://discogs.com/release/160027) for [[artist:19822]].

In 2025, the rights to the project were sold to [[label:Endless Void Surf Club]] in exchange for a bottle of mineral water.
