King Britt

American DJ, producer/remixer, and artist. Born: 1968 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1992 Britt was the DJ for the Grammy winner hip hop-jazz-fusion band [[artist:Digable Planets]] (alongside [[artist:Ishmael Butler]], [[artist:Doodlebug (2)]], and [[artist:Ladybug Mecca]]). Britt's career pointed to different directions as he started to travel the world with [[artist:Digable Planets]] tours, and with his own ones on the international house music scene as a DJ. At the very beginning of his journey as solo DJ, he settled into a partnership with the well-known Philadelphia DJ, producer, and owner of the label [[label:Ovum Recordings]], [[artist:Josh Wink]], who also contributed for the development of his career. One of their first projects together was [[artist:E-Culture]], behind the classic track "[Tribal Confusion](https://www.discogs.com/E-Culture-Tribal-Confusion-Unification/master/212691)" (1990) released by [[label:Strictly Rhythm]]. Founded [[label:The Buddy System Project]] in 2014. Runs his own label [[label:KingBrittArchives]].
