British composer, pianist and educator.

Died: 14th June 2020 London, England.

Known for embracing jazz in both the composed/arranged big-group tradition, and smaller improvisational groups, as well as venturing into solo piano performances/recordings later in his career. Was leader/co-leader of many groups including [[artist:Ovary Lodge]], [[artist:Centipede (3)]], [[artist:Mujician]] and others. He has played and recorded with various members of [[artist:Soft Machine]] and [[artist:Chris McGregor's Brotherhood Of Breath]] among other groups. He also played on the second, third and fourth [[artist:King Crimson]] albums (1970-71). Married [[artist:Julie Driscoll]] in 1970 and made several duet and other formation recordings with her.
