He started as bedroom DJ developed into professional. His first step of career was playing in Vortex Open Air, Cape Town, South-Africa then later at "Do Me", "The White Room" & "Pharside".

In 1994 he settled in London, UK.

In January 2000, he became the label manager of [[label:68182]] and [[label:7727]]. He also set up his own label [[label:13162]].

Production partner of [[artist:4072]] until 2005.

Now residing in New York, USA.

John ran a bi-monthly radio show called "New York Stories" and 2 digital labels called Media-Blackout & 238*West.
