About Joachim Witt

Joachim Witt is a German musician & producer, born on 22 February 1949 in Hamburg. Witt became a major star of the German pop scene during the 1980s with huge hits such as "[Herbergsvater](https://www.discogs.com/master/79206-Joachim-Witt-Tri-Tra-Trullala-Herbergsvater)" and "[Goldener Reiter](https://www.discogs.com/master/62330-Joachim-Witt-Goldener-Reiter)". He was one of most famous names of the so-called "Neue Deutsche Welle" (new German wave) along with performers as [[artist:39774]] and [[artist:26912]].

He had a big comeback at the end of the 1990s, when he scored a major hit with "[Die Flut](https://www.discogs.com/master/86164-Joachim-Witt-Peter-Heppner-Die-Flut)", a duet with [[artist:41957]], the singer of popular German synth pop group [[artist:10733]]. Even in his seventies, he still performs & releases music.
