About Jeff Porter

American Techno, House and Happy Hardcore producer from New York City.

In the late 1980's, he met [[artist:147286]] from The Netherlands in NYC. They became room mates in the Lower East Side. Upon a visit in the Netherlands, Flamman recognized the lack of House music in his home country and he convinced Porter to follow him to Amsterdam.

There, Porter started to create tapes and both friends were organizing parties, where they acted as DJs. When they became resident DJs and owners of the Planet E club in Amsterdam in 1988, they started to produce their first records under the moniker [[artist:6212]]. They soon were active as producer duo [[artist:6180]]. In 1994, Porter returned to New York City and founded a record store. Due to a request by Jeroen Flamman, he returned to Amsterdam and they founded [[artist:6125]] and they remixed Happy Hardcore tracks. Until 1999, they successfully made Happy Hardcore being a signature style in the Netherlands. Beyond 2000, Porter and Flamman continued their work as Happy Hardcore DJs and producers and also took part in the Jumpstyle movement, which came from Belgium.
