Bassist, singer and songwriter. Original member of the **Bar-Kays** since the mid-1960s. When four band members died in the 1967 airplane crash that also killed [[artist:Otis Redding]], he rebuilt the band in 1968 with other remaining member [[artist:Ben Cauley]]. With an interruption in the 1980s, Alexander has remained active with the Bar-Kays until today. Father of [[artist:Jazze Pha]] (Phalon Alexander).
