**James J Agnew**, also known as **Jim Agnew** (b. 1968, <California?>) is an American film/TV writer, director, producer, and screenplay/production consultant. He studied at [[label:California State University, Long Beach]], graduating with a Bachelor's degree in film journalism. In the early-to-mid-1990s, Agnew was a guitarist in **[[artist:Hate Dept.]]**, a Los Angeles-based industrial/punk-rock band. In 2005, Jim Agnew produced two music videos for **[[artist:The Mars Volta]]**, *[m=1788604]* and *[m=9300]* — both singles from the band's second studio album, "*[m=9161]*."
