About Isabelle Antena
Isabelle Antena is a French pop and jazz singer. Born on 1960-05-28 in Villepinte near Paris, Isabelle Powaga began her career in the trio [[artist:24163]] on the label [[label:Les Disques du Crépuscule]] (based in Brussels, Belgium), touring with [[artist:Paul Haig]], [[artist:Tuxedomoon]] and [[artist:Cabaret Voltaire]]. She then recorded her first solo album in London with Martin Hayles. As a solo artist she became particularly popular in Japan. She has recorded a string of solo albums as Isabelle Antena, as well as under the names [[artist:Antena]], Powaga Sisters and [[artist:Pause Cafe]]. In 2003 she featured on [[artist:Buscemi]]'s album Camino Real, and released a best of, L'alphabet Du Plaisir. In 2006 her song Nothing To Lose appeared on the [[master:960634]]. She slipped away after her French Riviera album, which was a collaboration with producers from the japanese nu-jazz scene, [[artist:Kyoto Jazz Massive]], [[artist:Jazztronik]], [[artist:Yukihiro Fukutomi]], [[artist:Tatsuo Sunaga]]. In 2017 she made a comeback album. Her daughter [[artist:5068143]] has chosen the same pseudonym family name. Fun fact: she used to work as an au pair for Rick Wakeman somewhere in the 1970s.
