German musician, born October 5th, 1952, in Munich.

Harold Faltermeyer played synthesizer on [[artist:Donna Summer]]'s "[m=25893]" album along with executive producer [[artist:Giorgio Moroder]].

Following his work with [[artist:Laura Branigan]] on her 1984 album "[m=102038]", he produced soundtracks for the motion pictures ["Beverly Hills Cop"](https://www.discogs.com/Various-Music-From-The-Motion-Picture-Soundtrack-Beverly-Hills-Cop/master/6921) and ["Top Gun"](https://www.discogs.com/Various-Top-Gun-Original-Motion-Picture-Soundtrack/master/77439) and won Grammy Awards for each of them.

"Axel F", from Beverly Hills Cop, entered the US-charts at number 3, in 1985. The [[artist:Pet Shop Boys]] had him produce their 1990 album "[m=28087]".

Faltermeyer collaborated with German band [[artist:Milch]] on the album ["Socialpark"](https://www.discogs.com/release/125682-Milch-Socialpark), which was released in 1999.
