Grant Nelson

Prolific producer, remixer and DJ from London, born 27 April 1971. Produced under the name [[artist:Wishdokta]] from 1990 to 1993 when he was making breakbeat hardcore/techno for [[label:Kickin Records]]. Heralded as an influential producer on what became the UK garage scene due to his numerous releases on [[label:Nice 'N' Ripe]], a label he co-founded in 1993. In 1997 he started using the alter-ego [[artist:Bump & Flex]] to release 2-step garage. Nelson has remained a house/garage producer since his early Nice 'N' Ripe days and continues to do so with his [[label:Swing City]] (1995-) and [[label:Freeze Dried]] (2012-) labels. Partner of [[artist:Kate Ross]]. Cousin of [[artist:David Thackeray]].
