American singer & musician born on 2 January 1954, died on 29 July 1978. Brother of [[artist:404358]]. Glenn Goins joined [Parliament](http://www.discogs.com/artist/Parliament)/[Funkadelic](http://www.discogs.com/artist/Funkadelic) in 1975 as lead singer, rhythm guitarist and composer. With his soulful, powerful voice, Goins was one of the best vocalist to work with the P.Funk mob. In 1978, he left the Clinton posse with drummer [Jerome Brailey](http://www.discogs.com/artist/Jerome+Brailey) to produce the first LP with [[artist:238972]], a funk group lead by his brother [Kevin Goins](http://www.discogs.com/artist/Kevin+Goins). He died of a cancer the same year, in July, just before the release of the record.
