Born in Pompei, Naples, Italy, on 14 August 1952. He passed away in Formello, Rome, Italy, on 6 July 2024 at the age of 71.

Author and composer. He reached fame (as [[artist:Pino D'Angiò]]) with his famous disco hit "Ma Quale Idea" in 1980. The song was sampled by many artists in the 90's, such as French hip hop duo [[artist:No Se]] and Australian dance duo [[artist:Madison Avenue]].

Giuseppe Chierchia also wrote for many other artists like [[artist:RAF (5)]], [[artist:Miguel Bosé]], and [[artist:Mina (3)]] to name a few.

Received the Rhythm & Soul Music Award in 2001.
