Gary Mounfield

English bass player better known as [[artist:140482]]. Born on 16 November 1962 in Crumpsall, Manchester (England). Died on 20 November 2025 in the UK. He came to prominence as bassist in [[artist:7298]]. After their demise, he played with [[artist:3852]] from 1997 until 2011 (he had not formally quit, nor been sacked). Around 2005-2010 Mounfield was also one of the bass players in fellow Mancuian [[artist:120532]]'s [Freebass](https://www.discogs.com/artist/1280925-Freebass-9) project.
