Dope Ammo is the recording alias of UK-based Drum & Bass producer and DJ, Anil "Coco" Shah. A veteran of the electronic music scene, he continues to be a major draw at international events, with recent highlights including performances at Notting Hill Carnival and the Temple Stage at Glastonbury Festival. His recent studio work features a high-profile collaboration with legendary vocalist [[artist:Elisabeth Troy]], resulting in the 2025 singles "You Had It" and "Happiness."

The project originally formed in 1996 under the collective name [[artist:The Drunken Masters]] before Shah evolved it into a solo act in 2008. He established [[label:Dope Ammo Records]] in 1998, a label celebrated for a unique sound that fuses Jump Up energy with Reggae and Jungle influences.

Beyond his original productions, Dope Ammo is well known for his remix work, including a Beatport chart-topping rework of [[artist:Baby D]]'s "Let Me Be Your Fantasy" (with [[artist:DJ Hybrid]]) and an official remix of [[artist:Alan Walker]]'s "Faded" for [[label:Sony Music]]. He has also contributed soundtracks to major video game franchises such as DJ Hero and B-Boy.
