LePage became a club legend when he wrote for [[release:251295]]; soon after with spouse [[artist:Denyse Lepage]] they formed the pioneering 'Italo-Disco' sounding duo [[artist:Lime (2)]], reaching club success throughout the 1980's. LePage also produced some House music in the following decades when transitioning to 'Nini No Bless.' LePage died from cancer on August 21, 2023, aged 74.

LePage’s career began in the 1960s as a teenager in Montreal. Around 1964, he formed the band [[artist:The Stringers]] with brother Michel, releasing the album "Swing Rock Swing" featuring covers ranging from [[artist:Mel Tormé]] to [[artist:James Brown]] alongside original tracks like "Marmelade."

Following this, LePage joined [[artist:The Persuaders (15)]], also known as [[artist:Les Nobles]], when backing singer [[artist:André Rheault]], a soul and R&B group that performed on CBC television programs like Teen ’67 and shared stages with legends like [[artist:Stevie Wonder]] and [[artist:The Isley Brothers]]. During this era, they also released singles such as "I Found a Love" under the Jet label.

LePage shifted toward Jazz-Fusion in the 1970's and later formed [[artist:Le Pouls]] with [[artist:Denyse LePage]], releasing an eponymous album 1976. During the 70s, LePage experimented with electronic and released [[artist:Magnum (8)]] in 1979. This decade culminated in their first major chart success in 1979 with the [[artist:Kat Mandu]] instrumental club hit "The Break," which reached number 3 on the Billboard Disco Chart.

These varied experiences in Rock, Fusion, and early Electronic production directly paved the way for the formation of [[artist:Lime (2)]] in 1980 and 'Nini' LePage has undoubtedly exerted a greater influence than is often recognised.
