Jamaican reggae singer born 1952 in Kingston. After having recorded some songs for producers [[artist:Clement "Coxsone" Dodd]], [[artist:Prince Buster]] or [[artist:Bunny Lee]] between 1966 and 1970, Dawn Penn left the music and moved to Tortola, British Virgin Islands. She came back to Jamaica in 1987 and re-recorded her 1967 [[label:Studio One]] hit "You don't love me - No no no" with producers [[artist:Steely & Clevie]] in 1992. This new version was an international hit in 1994.
