Clayton started his career with UK Hip Hop / Breaks pioneers [[artist:23229]] and set up a label with Jason from Blapps called [[label:6798]], which had underground hits with [r=345716] and [r=308568] sampling Madonna which later got released on [[label:616]].

Clayton also worked with [[label:2177]]/[[label:266184]] in the mid '90s where he teamed up with [[artist:71326]] to form [[artist:11490]], producing the club hit [What You Want](https://www.discogs.com/master/131886), which became a top selling single, signed to [[label:737894]] ([[label:750150]]) and [[label:160]] hitting the national charts at nº 21 and nº 34 .

After a break from the music, Clayton Mitchell is now coming back as “IndustryStandardUK”.
