An English drummer (born 2 June 1941, Kingsbury, London, England; died 24 August 2021 in London, England), best known as a member of [[artist:20991]], but over the years he also became involved in more jazz- and R&B-styled solo and side projects. Watts got his first drum kit in 1955. In 1961, he met [[artist:Alexis Korner]] and became member of [[artist:Blues Incorporated]]. In 1963, he joined The Rolling Stones. Watts played Gretsch drums. In the July 2006 issue of *[[label:Modern Drummer]]* magazine, Watts was voted into the Modern Drummer Hall of Fame.
