The Bush Tetras were a mainstay of New York's club scene in the 1980s, playing a brutal blend of Minimalist, No Wave, Funk-influenced Punk.

They never had mainstream success, but [[artist:Laura Kennedy]] and bandmates [[artist:Pat Place]], [[artist:Dee Pop]] and [[artist:Cynthia Sley]] blazed trails, particularly for women in Indie Rock and Punk.

The Releasing early material on local labels [[label:7225]] and [[label:147578]], as well as on [[label:4880]]. They've remained active in the 1990s, 2000s & 2010s.
