Originally Biba-Rom was founded by [[artist:109287]], [[artist:285913]], [[artist:126335]] and [[artist:874325]] as a schoolboy band in Glasgow in the mid-1970ies. Kerr and Burchill then joined [[artist:266428]] and ask McGee and Donald to follow them. All four of them went on to form [[artist:18547]] in late 1977 while the other two remaining band members joined [[artist:566286]].

Later Biba-Rom was used as a moniker for a House Electro project with Jim Kerr involved.
