German musician. Born 23 November 1958, Köln, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany, died of cancer on 31 May, 2013 at the age of 54.

Andreas Thein co-formed [[artist:Propaganda]] in Düsseldorf, West Germany, in 1982 together with [[artist:Ralf Dörper]] ([[artist:Die Krupps]]).

During the time Thein was in Propaganda they recorded and released the single [[master:67143]]. The same year the single came out, 1984 that was, Thein was asked to leave the band.

After Propaganda he formed the band [[artist:Kino (3)]] with whom he released the single [[master:323410]] in 1986. He furthermore worked with [[artist:Boy George]] and [[artist:Glen Matlock]].

Thein and Ralf Dörper collaborated again in 1988 when they released [[master:179057]] which was Germany's first acid house track and became a huge European dancefloor hit after it charted in the German Top Twenty.
