About Acumen Nation
Formerly known as [[artist:Acumen]]. After their first two albums, the band encountered a legal dispute regarding the Acumen moniker, and thus had changed their name to Acumen Nation. Frontman Jason Novak has been the only consistent member of the band, although guitarist/programmer Jamie Duffy also appeared on every album by the band. The final lineup consisted of Jason Novak, Duffy, bassist Ethan Novak (Jason's brother who was originally the band's drummer until 2000), and drummer Dan Brill (who replaced Ethan Novak in 2000). In 2012, Duffy committed suicide, which effectively brought the band to its end (although Acumen Nation has played brief tours and one-off shows since then).
Other members of the band include bassist Gregory Lopez (an original member), bassist Eric Alvarez (who replaced Lopez in 1998), bassist Eliot Engelman (who replaced Alvarez in 2000), and guitarist Brian Elza.
